THE DEVIL DOES NOT EXIST

History was divided with the birth of Jesus of Nazareth, making the ages to be known as “Before Christ” and “After Christ”.  But there is an even bigger transcendental event that occurred with his death; the division of the covenants.

When Jesus said “It is finished”, he both fulfilled and put an end to the law, and established the beginning of grace.

Another of the goals reached with his death was the fulfillment of one of the promises made before going to the cross, when he said:

  • “Now is the judgment of this world; now the ruler of this world will be cast out.” John 12:31

This materialized, when He destroyed Satan on the cross, along with all his principalities and power. Let us see:

  • “Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it.” Colossians 2:15

And, once again:

  • “...He Himself likewise shared in the same, that through death He might destroy him who had the power of death, that is, the devil,” Hebrews 2:14

Therefore, nowadays we have a calling to understand that Satan and his principalities existed until the Calvary cross.  So not only did Jesus accomplish this for his church, but he translated it to his kingdom.  Let us take a look:

  • “He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love,” Colossians 1:13

Satan or devil is history, a story of the past, and it is what religion used to continue abusing the believers, to keep them enslaved and under fear. Yet, after the cross, clearly the believer is positioned in Grace and is consequently: complete, perfect, blessed, free of the darkness and in the kingdom of the Man Christ Jesus.
